Duties
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing various golf course machinery, including mowers, utility vehicles, and power equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and small engine repairs to keep equipment in peak condition
Support diesel engine repairs and mechanical systems repair with hands-on work and technical knowledge
Use hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering equipment, and electrical diagnostics to complete repairs efficiently
Conduct equipment troubleshooting to identify issues related to electrical systems, mechanical failures, or power generation systems
Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks during equipment repairs or replacements
Maintain detailed service records and logs for all maintenance activities performed
Requirements
Proven experience in dealership service technician roles or automotive repair environments with a focus on small engines, diesel engines and/or turf equipment preferred
Strong electrical experience including electrical diagnostics and electrical work on machinery
Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues
Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, small engine maintenance, and generator repair is highly desirable
Familiarity with equipment troubleshooting across various types of machinery used in golf course operations
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering tools safely and effectively
Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, engine repair, power generation systems, and heavy equipment repair
Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and teamwork
Physical ability for heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), manual handling tasks, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
