Duties
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on golf course equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, and small engines.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and electrical diagnostics to identify root causes efficiently.
Repair and overhaul diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and power generation systems to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical repair tools to execute repairs accurately.
Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment parts during maintenance procedures while adhering to safety standards.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency.
Collaborate with course staff to schedule repairs around operational hours and minimize downtime.
Requirements
Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, small engine maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
Expertise in electrical work including diagnostics of electrical systems and wiring diagrams (schematics).
Experience repairing diesel engines, power generation systems, and heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other mechanical repair tools.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in outdoor environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
Customer service mindset with clear communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
