Assistant Golf Course Mechanic (Part Time)

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Assistant Golf Course Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing the equipment that keeps our golf course running smoothly. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure optimal performance of golf course machinery. You'll work closely with experienced technicians to support the upkeep of lawn mowers, utility vehicles, and other essential golf course equipment, contributing to an exceptional experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities Assist in diagnosing and repairing a variety of golf course machinery, including mowers, utility vehicles, and small engines using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and mechanical system inspections to keep equipment in top condition. Troubleshoot electrical systems and conduct electrical diagnostics on various equipment components. Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other repair tools effectively to perform repairs and adjustments. Support heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving or installing large equipment parts. Conduct minor diesel engine repairs and small engine maintenance to ensure reliable operation of all machinery. Assist with the repair and maintenance of power generation systems and generators used on the course. Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a focus on automotive or equipment repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in engine repair, electrical work, and equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair is essential. Experience working with heavy tools such as power tools, soldering irons, and hand tools for precise repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of small engine maintenance, power generation systems, and generator repair is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills to support team collaboration and member satisfaction.
