Golf Course - Mechanic

Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, and power tools Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools, accurately diagnosing engine, electrical, and hydraulic problems Repair and overhaul diesel engines, small engines, and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operation Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on equipment with electrical systems, utilizing soldering and electrical work techniques Maintain detailed service records and logs of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and power generation systems to execute repairs efficiently Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for equipment replacement or component installation Qualifications Proven dealership or service technician experience with automotive or heavy equipment repair Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, electrical systems, schematics, and equipment troubleshooting Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, electrical diagnostics, welding, soldering, and small engine maintenance Familiarity with Caterpillar, John Deere, or Troy Bilt, machinery or similar heavy equipment is preferred Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for effective repairs Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse machinery in a fast-paced environment while developing your technical expertise.
