Responsibilities
Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects/failures in golf course maintenance equipment, including diesel, electric and gasoline powered equipment, trucks, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers, carts, and other equipment used in utility work.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, blade sharpening, hydraulic system checks, and electrical system troubleshooting.
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify issues and implement effective repair solutions.
Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment and purchase repair parts and replacement supplies.
Repairs and adjusts engines and cutting mechanisms on various heavy and light mowing equipment.
Assist with electrical diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, and heavy lifting tasks to ensure all equipment operates efficiently.
Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all repairs performed to support ongoing maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities and equipment handling.
Skills
Proven service technician background specializing in automotive or equipment repair.
Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in engine repair, electrical diagnostics, and heavy machinery maintenance.
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor environments.
Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
