Candyroot Lodge is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Assistant Director of Outside Operations to join our opening team and help build the foundation of our outside golf operation and caddie program.
This position reports jointly to the Director of Golf and the Director of Outside Operations & Caddie Manager. It plays a key supporting role in delivering a consistent, world-class guest experience while helping ensure smooth daily execution of the outside operation.
As a walking-only facility, caddies are central to our identity. This role will assist in supporting and managing the caddie program while learning all aspects of outside operations at a destination golf resort.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who may not yet have deep experience in all areas of outside operations or caddie management, but who brings the right attitude, energy, and desire to learn. Culture and personality are everything.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support daily outside golf operations and guest arrival experience Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, and supporting caddie staff Help ensure consistent execution of guest arrival and departure standards Assist with caddie assignments and daily communication under leadership direction Oversee staging areas, bag drop, practice facilities, and guest flow as needed Support inventory management of towels, divot bottles, swap bags, hydration stations, and guest amenities Assist with weather evacuation procedures and guest transportation logistics Reinforce professional standards for appearance, conduct, safety, and guest interaction Work closely with leadership to ensure seamless coordination across the operation Step into leadership responsibilities when senior staff are off-site or unavailable Contribute to building a positive, team-first culture across the outside operation
