Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Golf Course Food & Beverage Staff member, where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining and refreshment experiences to our guests. This energetic position involves providing friendly customer service, managing food and beverage orders efficiently, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Whether working at the bar, dining, assisting with the beverage cart, or assisting with event catering (outings), your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable moments on the course. Responsibilities
Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and friendly service.
Prepare and serve food and beverages following safety and quality standards, including operating kitchen equipment when needed.
Manage food service customer order processing, including cash handling and processing cash transactions efficiently.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and food handling protocols throughout your shift.
Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy and inviting.
Support retail sales transactions at the course’s retail outlets or snack bars, utilizing POS systems for accurate processing.
Operate kitchen equipment safely while preparing light food items or beverages in accordance with health regulations.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with food safety management practices and sanitation standards at all times.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service restaurant environments.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and cash register operations.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
Basic math skills for retail transactions, cash handling, and inventory management.
Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a café or grocery store setting is preferred.
Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
Must have a valid NYS driver's license to drive a beverage cart.
