Job Summary
Manage the daily operations of the Farmington Country Club camp offerings, art studio programs and youth events and activities. Assist with facilitation and planning of camp programs, family, special and holiday programs, birthday parties, art studio and additional activities for Club members and their guests. Assist with the day to day operations of the Kids Club.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the social, emotional, physical and educational development and needs of children between the ages of 2 years and 15 years.Hire, train, and supervise Camp Counselors.Schedule work shifts of Camp counselors to ensure the standard of care staffing ratios are maintained at all times. Monitor time and attendance according to policy.Evaluate staff performance regularly and through the “Employee Development Program”Schedule and lead regular staff meetings.Maintain order and discipline with children in accordance with the program’s policies.Communicate with parents to make sure that their childcare preferences are followed.Evaluate parent and child satisfaction and solicit feedback using comment cards, surveys, focus groups and other feedback tools.Ensure overall housekeeping of designated areas by maintaining a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment.Maintain daily log of activities, to include: number of children in program, parent/staff issues, sales and expenses.Maintain daily reservation logs as well as handling daily billing and tracking systems through Northstar.Order and oversee supply lists for art studio, camp, .Attend weekly operational meetings as appropriate.Assist with the creation and facilitation of camp programs, special and holiday events, birthday parties, art studio classes and programs and other activities.Work with the Communications Manager to advertise and promote childcare programs and activities, to include weekly & monthly articles for Club’s newsletter and website.Support other Club departments by providing childcare for special events as needed.Assist the Fitness, Aquatics, Golf and Tennis departments when needed.Take appropriate action in case of accident or emergency following Club emergency and safety procedures.Evening, weekend and holiday work is required for this position.Training and certifications such as daily health observations, MATs, VA Preservice, emergency preparedness, balancing child/ staff ratios and other are required within first 30 days of employment.Qualifications
Programmatic experience in childcare, recreation, or other field related to family programs.Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact appropriately with young children, parents, and employees in a professional manner.Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, including Word and Excel.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.A college degree in a related field a plus.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Additional Pre-Employment Background Check and Health Screening Requirements:
