About the Role

Overview The Congaree Foundation seeks a mission-driven, highly organized, and relationship-centered Program Coordinator to support the Congaree Global Golf Initiative (CGGI), the Foundation’s flagship program providing high school students from across the United States and around the world access to world-class academic guidance, golf instruction, and long-term mentorship.

The Program Coordinator plays a central role in the beginning of each participant’s CGGI journey, leading recruitment and selection, coordinating immersive camp experiences, supporting early college readiness, and building strong relationships with students, families, coaches, schools, Congaree Ambassadors, and program partners.

This role is ideal for someone who is equally energized by people and execution. The right person can build trust with a student or family, cultivate a new partnership, and manage the many details required to deliver an exceptional participant experience.

Key Responsibilities Program Management Lead the planning and execution of the initial phase of the CGGI participant journey, from recruitment through camp participation and early college readiness.Manage the annual lifecycle for new participants, including nominations, applications, selection, onboarding, program participation, and ongoing communication.Build meaningful relationships with participants and families, serving as a consistent point of contact throughout the early stages of the program.Coordinate academic and college readiness resources to support participants as they prepare for their next steps.Track program goals, participant progress, key milestones, and outcomes.Maintain accurate participant records, reporting, and program data. Camp Planning & Execution This role has a significant focus on delivering CGGI’s academic and athletic camp experiences and creating a seamless, meaningful experience for participants.

Lead planning and on-site execution for CGGI camp weeks, coordinating the participant experience from arrival through departure.Manage travel, transportation, lodging, meals, schedules, participant communications, and other program logistics.Develop detailed itineraries and coordinate instructors, academic advisors, coaches, mentors, and other program partners.Manage required contractor documentation, disclosures, background checks, insurance confirmations, and related program requirements.Partner with instructors and Foundation leadership to deliver high-quality academic advising, golf instruction, training, and mentorship.Create a welcoming, structured, and supportive environment for participants throughout camp.Anticipate and resolve issues in real time while maintaining a high standard of care for participants and families. Outreach & Partnerships Increase awareness of CGGI through proactive outreach and relationship building.Identify and cultivate new nominating partners and referral sources.Build and maintain relationships with Congaree Ambassadors, schools, coaches, program partners, and other members of the CGGI network.Represent the Foundation and CGGI with prospective participants, families, partners, and community organizations.Support local partnerships and community initiatives as needed. Communications & Engagement Develop thoughtful and timely communications for participants, families, instructors, mentors, and program partners.Identify participant milestones and success stories that demonstrate the impact of CGGI and support stakeholder engagement.Partner with Foundation leadership on donor and stakeholder communications related to program activities and outcomes.Collaborate on program budgets, resource planning, and allocation. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Experience in program management, youth development, education, athletics, nonprofit programming, student services, or a related field.Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, coaches, educators, and partners.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage complex logistics, competing priorities, and multiple timelines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with the judgment and flexibility to adapt when plans change.Comfortable taking ownership of both program priorities and hands-on execution.Ability to travel domestically and internationally.Genuine passion for youth development, education, mentorship, and creating opportunities for young people.Knowledge of golf is helpful but not required. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of college readiness, admissions, recruitment, or placement processes.Experience working with high school or college-aged students.Experience working with diverse and international communities.Experience planning camps, educational programs, or other multi-day experiences.Experience developing partnerships with schools, coaches, community organizations, or youth-serving organizations.Proficiency with CRM systems; Salesforce experience preferred.
