Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Mechanic, where your expertise in equipment maintenance and repair keeps our golf course running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of golf course machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your mechanical skills will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional experience for our golfers while supporting the overall operation of the course. Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on golf course equipment including mowers, trimmers, aerators, and utility vehicles. (Diesel, gas, electric)
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to identify root causes efficiently.
Repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts with precision and attention to detail.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting to complete repairs safely and effectively.
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs for all equipment serviced or repaired.
Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime during peak seasons.
Collaborate with course staff to schedule repairs without disrupting daily operations or guest experiences.
Must have own smaller tools such as wrenches, pliers, etc…
Experience
Proven mechanical experience or service technician background with a strong understanding of golf course equipment repair principles.
Extensive mechanic experience working with heavy machinery such as Caterpillar or similar brands.
Skilled in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, generators, and other power equipment used in outdoor environments.
Knowledge of welding, soldering, electrical systems, and mechanical repair techniques is highly desirable.
Experience working with golf course or turf maintenance equipment is required.
