This key leadership role is responsible for the overall planning, management, and execution of all golf course maintenance operations. You will oversee a team of groundskeepers, ensuring the highest standards of turfgrass health, agronomic practices, and course aesthetics. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing detailed maintenance schedules, managing irrigation systems, pest and disease control programs, and fertilizer applications. Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomy. Develop and execute daily, weekly, and annual maintenance plans. Manage and train a team of grounds maintenance staff. Monitor and manage turfgrass health, including disease and pest control. Oversee irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water usage. Manage the course budget and control operational costs. Implement fertilizer and soil amendment programs. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations. Collaborate with club management and committees on course strategy. Maintain course aesthetics to the highest standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent. GCSAA certification or eligibility is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of turfgrass physiology, soil science, and pest management. Experience with irrigation control systems and software. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage budgets effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant turf management software.
