Senior Golf Course Superintendent

Develop and implement comprehensive turfgrass management programs, including fertilization, irrigation, pest, and disease control. Manage and maintain all golf course equipment and facilities. Supervise, train, and motivate a team of groundskeepers and maintenance staff. Develop and manage the annual golf course maintenance budget. Ensure the course is presented in excellent condition for daily play, tournaments, and special events. Implement and manage water conservation strategies. Stay current with advancements in agronomy, turfgrass science, and golf course maintenance techniques. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and safety standards. Liaise with club management, golf professionals, and committees on course-related matters. Plan and execute course renovation and improvement projects. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including chemical applications and equipment usage. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. GCSAA Class A certification is strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in turfgrass management, soil science, and pest/disease control. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong understanding of irrigation systems and water management. Knowledge of golf course construction and renovation principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
