Golf Course Mechanic
Department: Golf Course and Grounds
Reports to: Golf Course Manager
Capon Springs and Farms is looking for a full-time, experienced mechanic with the ability to trouble-shoot and make needed repairs to various types of equipment, including gas and electric golf carts; mowers and turf equipment; irrigation systems; and hydraulics. This position is essential for ensuring the golf course and surrounding facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing an ex-ceptional experience for all guests.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Inspects and maintains golf course equipment including mowers, carts and irrigation systems, en-suring they are in safe and efficient working condition.
Consults equipment operating manuals, schematics, and drawings.
Performs scheduled maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating parts.
Diagnoses and identifies malfunctions.
Inspects, repairs, and replaces defective and worn parts.
Overhauls and tests major components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electricalsystems.
Dissembles and reassembles equipment and components.
Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job duties.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
May be required to occasionally deliver or pick up equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Other duties as assigned by the golf course supervisor or facilities manager.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Vocational degree in a mechanical field is a plus.
Knowledge and Experience:
Two years’ experience in a mechanical or equipment repair field.
Valid driver’s license due to operating employer vehicles.
Knowledge of automotive repair and electronics.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to use body in full range of motion and be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to maintain a professional, courteous working relationship with co-workers.

Co-workers must have flexibility in their work schedule, including weekends, and holidays, and possible overtime during the peak season. Starting pay is based on experience and education.
