Club Description:
An exclusive, high-end, private golf club located in the scenic lakes region of New Hampshire established in 2002 and fully operational in 2004. The club currently has 380 members that may use the facility. The clubhouse includes two dining rooms, a grill room, bar, snack and lunch facilities. 18 holes of world class golf with a driving range and short game area.
Job Description & Essential Functions:
The position’s focus is to maintain the entire equipment fleet in good working condition and provide exceptional quality of cut daily.
Manage, diagnose and repair all equipment utilized in maintenance of golf courses and grounds.
Make minor and major mechanical repairs on a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment; organize and maintain a clean service area and maintenance building.
A respected professional with a proven ability be a team player, helps when needed, supports co-workers and be a productive member of the Grounds Department.

Additional Responsibilities:
Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies.
Perform necessary repairs, lubricate, service and sharpen equipment on a Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
Manage adequate inventory of parts, shop supplies and lubricants/fuel.
Manage proper repair records daily.
Purchase and manage parts, oils, shop supplies etc. within the limits of approved budget.
Perform or direct precise adjustment of cutting units daily.
Develop and ensure compliance with approved safety procedures.
Diagnose, rebuild, or repair complete hydraulic systems.
Ability to perform or learn Mig and Arc welding.
Ability to operate a computer system of Windows 10 or higher.
Ability to fabricate parts and tools for equipment.
Skilled at the use of various hydraulic and electrical testing equipment.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of shop.
Acknowledge members/guests and meet or exceed their expectations.
Communicate effectively and appropriately with departmental employees, vendors and members.
Maintains current equipment maintenance procedures through continuing education as approved and budgeted by General Manager.
Demonstrate proper use of equipment in conjunction with Golf Course Superintendent.
Perform other tasks as directed by Golf Course Superintendent.
Qualifications:
Must be able to read, interpret and implement all operations and safety manuals.
Specialty training in equipment repair, diagnostic, computer engine and transmissions.
Past experience at designing and maintaining service work sheets and preventative maintenance schedules.
Previous experience in inventory and budgetary control.
Training in blueprints for wiring, hydraulic and schematic diagrams.
Ability to design and implement a shop safety program. Possess integrity and honesty.
Ability to communicate effectively with other club personnel.
Knowledge of the theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines and of mower grinding, sharpening and adjustment.
Proven record of excellent attendance.

Golf Course Grounds Superintendent
Schedule:
Workweek hours vary based on seasonality and equipment needs. Required to be available to work Holidays and other dates for special tournaments as requested by the Golf Course Superintendent. Remaining available during snow events to assist with snow removal.
Working Conditions:
Work is physically demanding. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; work in confined spaces; operate vehicles over rough and uneven terrain where jarring and jolting are a common occurrence. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Ability to work in an outdoor environment where temperature changes and extremes are normal. Works near moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather conditions. The noise level is moderate.
Compensation:
Full-time year round, Exempt and At Will.
Salary commensurate with experience within golf course maintenance industry
