About the Role
Green River Golf Club is a premier 18-hole, daily-fee public course in Corona, California. Uniquely situated where Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties meet, our facility blends an exceptional golfing experience with the natural beauty of the Santa Ana River canyon. As a certified member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, our team works alongside diverse wildlife in a scenic environment. We pride ourselves on a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere, supported by our beautiful Spanish-style clubhouse featuring banquet facilities capable of hosting tournament and social events for up to 400 guests.
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Wedding & Event Sales Director who is passionate about hospitality, relationship-building, and creating unforgettable events. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to grow our wedding and events business while helping make Green River Golf Club the leading event venue in the region.
Essential Functions include:
Sales
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
Respond promptly to inquiries and convert prospects into booked events.
Conduct venue tours and prepare customized proposals and contracts.
Upsell event enhancements and maximize venue revenue.
Build relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, vendors, and local organizations.
Meet or exceed established sales goals.
Customer Service
Deliver outstanding service from initial inquiry through event completion.
Communicate event details accurately with operations to ensure successful execution.
Maintain CRM records, contracts, and sales activity.
Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours whenever possible.
Job Specifications / qualifications
1+ year of sales experience; hospitality or event sales preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and close sales.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Occasional evening and weekend availability.
Compensation: Potential annual bonus up to $10,000.
