About the Role
Job Summary The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and driving all membership and event sales initiatives to achieve growth and revenue goals for the Club. This role oversees the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing and onboarding new members, as well as managing event inquiries, contracts, and client relationships. The Director of Sales develops and executes strategic sales plans, nurtures strong relationships with prospects, members, and the community, and collaborates with internal departments to ensure an exceptional member and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve membership growth and event revenue targets.
Prospect, qualify, and convert leads into new Club members.
Build and maintain strong relationships with current members to support retention and referrals.
Promote and sell the Club as a premier destination for weddings, banquets, meetings, and special events.
Manage the full event sales process, including site tours, proposals, contracts, and event follow-up.
Partner with the Marketing team to create sales materials, promotions, and campaigns that drive awareness and engagement.
Collaborate with Club leadership and department heads to ensure smooth onboarding of members and seamless execution of events.
Track and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing regular reports and forecasts for leadership.
Represent the Club at networking events, community activities, and industry functions to drive visibility and business development.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service, ensuring every interaction reflects the Club’s brand and values.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
5+ years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality, private clubs, or event sales.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Clubessential or similar platforms is a plus.
