Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards.Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high-quality presentation and flavor consistency across all dishes.Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.Support menu planning by collaborating with the culinary team to develop innovative dishes that align with the restaurant’s concept and guest expectations.Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times.Coordinate with catering and banquet departments to deliver exceptional service during large events or special functions.Oversee shift management duties such as scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely service delivery.Maintain detailed records of food production processes, inventory logs, and incident reports as needed.Foster a positive work environment by demonstrating leadership qualities such as motivation, accountability, and effective communication.Requirements
Proven experience in fine dining kitchens with strong culinary skills; banquet experience is highly desirable.Demonstrated supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.Background in dietary department operations or food production is a plus.Extensive knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations.Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills; capable of motivating staff towards shared goals.Experience in menu planning, catering coordination, and restaurant management practices.Proficiency in inventory management, control procedures, and cost-effective food service practices.Skilled in food preparation techniques across various cuisines; ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently under pressure.Familiarity with shift management responsibilities including scheduling, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.Knowledge of the food industry trends related to hospitality, catering, bartending services, and restaurant experience is advantageous.Exceptional communication skills coupled with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and hospitality excellence.
