The Golf Club at Lansdowne | Leesburg, Virginia Elevate Your Career at One of the Mid-Atlantic's Premier Private Clubs The Golf Club at Lansdowne is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent who is passionate about producing exceptional golf course conditions, leading people, and continuing to grow within the golf course management profession. This position offers far more than daily maintenance responsibilities. Although on the Norman course, you'll gain experience managing a diverse 45-hole operation while developing the leadership, agronomic, and business skills necessary to become a successful Golf Course Superintendent.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates well, enjoys solving problems, and is committed to continuous improvement. A passion for the game of golf is a strong plus. While not required, understanding the golfer's perspective often creates a deeper appreciation for the details that separate good golf courses from exceptional ones.

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Director of Agronomy while gaining hands‑on experience in every aspect of golf course management. You won't simply be assigned daily tasks—you'll be involved in the decision‑making process and trusted with meaningful responsibility as your experience grows. Areas of Development
Agronomic planning and program development
Staff leadership, scheduling, and employee development
Budget preparation and financial management
Inventory management and purchasing
Irrigation and water management
Fertility and pesticide programs
Tournament preparation and championship conditioning
Capital improvement planning and execution
Member relations and communication

Norman Course drainage master plan implementation
Property-wide tree audit and long-term management plan
Infrastructure and golf course improvement projects These projects provide valuable experience in planning, budgeting, contractor coordination, construction oversight, and long‑term golf course improvement.
