About Windyke Country Club
Windyke Country Club is a premier 54-hole private facility situated on 385 acres on the border of Germantown and Collierville, Tennessee.
The property includes two championship golf courses and an 18-hole par-3 course. Our championship courses are recognized throughout the region for outstanding conditioning and feature USGA-specification putting greens with Champion Bermuda. Tees and fairways are predominantly Tifway 419 Bermuda with Zoysia incorporated throughout shaded and transition areas.

What You'll Do
As an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you'll work directly with the Director of Agronomy and Superintendent in the daily management of the golf courses. You'll be involved in every aspect of the operation, including:
- Daily course setup and exceptional conditioning
- Precision moisture management
- Irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting, repairs, and system expansion
- Fertility planning and pesticide applications
- Disease identification and plant health management
- Crew leadership, training, scheduling, and employee development
- Equipment operation and calibration
- Tournament preparation
- Budgeting, planning, and operational decision-making
This position offers real responsibility and is designed to prepare motivated individuals for future superintendent opportunities.
More Than Maintenance
One of the things that makes Windyke unique is our commitment to continually improving the property. Our assistants are actively involved in planning and executing in-house construction and renovation projects, providing valuable experience well beyond daily maintenance.
Recent, ongoing, and planned projects include:
- Complete renovation of every bunker featuring Porous Pave bunker liners and Premier White bunker sand
- Tee renovations, expansions, and new tee construction
- Continuous irrigation system improvements and expansion
- Ongoing tree removal and golf course enhancement projects
- Large-scale sod replacement and turf improvement programs
- Planned driving range expansion and renovation (anticipated 2027)

Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license
- Tennessee Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Golf Course Management, Agronomy, Sports Turf, or a related field
- One to three years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or in a similar leadership role at a golf course.
