About the Role
Service Technician: Service Shop Part-Time | Monday–Friday | 6:45 am-4:00pm
Position Overview Turf Equipment & Irrigation is looking for a skilled, dependable, and self-motivated Service Technician to join our mechanic shop.
If you’re the person others turn to when a machine isn’t running right and you enjoy figuring out the problem and fixing it correctly, we’d like to meet you. Our technicians work on professional turf equipment used by golf courses, municipalities, landscapers, and commercial customers. You’ll join a knowledgeable team that values quality work, honest communication, and taking care of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial turf equipment
- Service and support Toro, Ventrac, and other industry-leading equipment
- Work extensively with reel mowers, rotary mowers, turf sprayers, and utility vehicles
- Perform reel mower setup, adjustment, sharpening, and troubleshooting
- Service, calibrate, and repair turf sprayers and related systems
- Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete equipment inspections
- Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and parts documentation
- Communicate with the Service Manager and Parts Department regarding repair needs
- Keep the shop and assigned work area clean, safe, and organized
- Treat every customer’s equipment with care and pride

Preferred Qualifications
- Golf course maintenance, turf equipment, agricultural equipment, or mechanic experience strongly preferred
- Experience servicing Toro and/or Ventrac equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of reel mowers, turf sprayers, gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics
- Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely
- Attention to detail and a commitment to completing repairs correctly
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug test

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work on your feet throughout the day
- Ability to safely operate and move equipment within the shop
