Spartan Turf Products is a Midwest distributor of Toro commercial lawn, turf, and snow equipment and golf irrigation systems, serving golf courses, sports fields, municipalities, and other grounds professionals throughout the Midwest.

We are looking for a Service Technician to join our Elm Grove, WI team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, working with engines, and using tools to solve problems.

Entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Experienced technicians will have opportunities to expand their knowledge, learn new technologies, and pursue additional training and certifications.

What You'll Do:

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair Toro commercial lawn, turf, and snow equipment, including fairway mowers, rough mowers, greens mowers, utility vehicles, snow equipment, and related products

- Perform maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components

- Use diagnostic tools, service information, schematics, and computer-based diagnostic systems to identify and resolve equipment issues

- Set up and prepare new equipment for customer delivery

- Tear down, sharpen, repair, and reassemble cutting reels, blades, and related components

- Learn and apply new equipment technologies across Toro product lines

- Participate in manufacturer and company-sponsored training programs

- Work toward obtaining industry and manufacturer certifications as you develop your technical expertise

- Maintain shop tools and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner

- Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members to support productivity and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For:

We welcome candidates at different stages of their mechanical careers. You may be a great fit if you have:

- Mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in repairing and maintaining equipment

- Experience working on engines, vehicles, machinery, landscaping equipment, diesel equipment, automotive systems, small engines, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or other mechanical systems

- Previous experience as a service technician, mechanic, equipment technician, automotive technician, small engine technician, diesel technician, or similar role is a plus

- The ability to troubleshoot problems, think critically, and identify the best way to make a repair

- A willingness to learn new equipment, technologies, diagnostic systems, and repair procedures

- Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

- The ability to learn and use computers and diagnostic software

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- The ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds alone and 75 pounds with assistance

- The ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, push, pull, and work in a shop environment

- A valid driver's license preferred

- Ability to obtain forklift certification

- Must provide and maintain personal tools
