Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach

Roles To assist and support the head coach in all facets of management of the men’s and women’s golf programs. Responsibilities Recruiting quality student-athletesPerforming meet and practice preparationSupervision of student-athletesLeading conditioning programMaking team travel arrangementsAssisting with fund-raising effortsMonitor academic progress of student-athletesAssist with community service Summer camps administrationPerforming other duties as assigned by the head coach Qualifications a Bachelor’s degreeexperience in the sport as a coach and/or collegiate athleteworking knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Expectations Perform all tasks as assigned in a timely manner and in cooperation with the head coachRepresent Northwood in a professional, positive manner on-campus and in the communityRequire team members to represent Northwood in a professional, positive mannerProvide opportunities and promote leadership skills for team membersConduct program with integrity and within NCAA, and university rulesSeek continuous improvement in all areas of athletic program through evaluation of all processesSeek to integrate general education and business specific offerings and combine them with life impacting experiences in the athletic arena to ensure a well-rounded, positive experience for student-athletes Northwood University has an institutional philosophy which emphasizes free enterprise in a context of limited government and individual responsibility.
