SUMMARY: The Golf Course Hospitality Attendant provides high-quality food and beverage service to MPCC Members and guests throughout their golf round and supports overall Member satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Members and their guests with a warm, professional and welcoming greeting, using names when known.
Accurately record and input orders into the POS system.
Monitor tee sheets to ensure timely and efficient service to golfers.
Deliver food & beverage orders on course when needed.
Serve as the liaison between the golfers and Dunes bar service window.
Expedite food and beverage orders to golfers on the course while supporting pace of play.
Prepare drinks in accordance with Club recipe and/or industry standards when required.
Ensure accurate billing for all items ordered.
Process and retain receipts according to Club procedures.
Describe menu items, ingredients, method of preparation and presentation details.
Ensure prompt, cordial and professional service of liquor, wine and other beverages.
Follow Responsible Beverage Service standards and report concerns to management.
Maintain side stations and gratis stations ensuring they are clean, organized and well-stocked.
Communicate inventory needs to management in a timely manner.
Ensure all services to Members are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail.
Assist in food and beverage service throughout the Club as needed.
Adhere to Codes of Safe Practices while performing all duties and promptly report injuries.
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, follow directions, take criticism, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and members/guests with respect and courtesy, and refrain from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret menus, safety rules and procedure manuals.
Ability to read, understand and execute written and verbal instructions
Professional communication skills for interacting with Members, guests, and colleagues.
Knowledge beer, wine and spirits and ability to describe accurately to Members and guests.
Knowledge of general food service and bartending industry standards.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
Ability to maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance consistent with Club and departmental standards.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one-year of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant environment.
Private club, resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
Must provide valid document(s) to work in the United States.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Food Handler Certificate (required within 30 days of hire).
RBS Certification (required within 30 days of hire).
Level One Sommelier certification preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work occurs in outdoor conditions ranging from approximately 30°F in winter to over 80°F in summer and may involve exposure to inclement weather.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
Stand for extended periods of time (75% o rmore of the shift).
Move frequently throughout food service venues and other areas of Club property.
Frequently and clearly communicate with Members, guests and staff.
Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Visually identify items through the dining room and kitchen.
Occasionally lift and move tables, chairs and other supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout the Club.
