Fort Wayne Country Club, one of Indiana's premier private clubs, is seeking an experienced Clubhouse Manager to lead its food and beverage operation and help deliver an exceptional member experience.
Founded in 1908, the Club features a championship golf course, an active racquet sports program, resort-style aquatics, multiple dining venues, and a vibrant calendar of social and golf events. This is an outstanding opportunity for a visible, hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a private club environment and enjoys building relationships with members while leading a high-performing team.
Your Impact
As Clubhouse Manager, you will oversee the Club's daily food and beverage operations while ensuring exceptional service across every dining outlet, banquet, tournament, and member event. Working closely with the Executive Chef and senior leadership team, you will lead, mentor, and inspire a talented service team while maintaining the high standards expected at one of the region's most respected private clubs.
What You'll Do
Lead all front-of-house food and beverage operations across multiple dining venues and special events.Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop a service-focused team.Maintain exceptional member service standards while fostering a culture of hospitality and accountability.Partner with the culinary and events teams to execute outstanding dining experiences, golf tournaments, weddings, and member events.Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and coordinate staffing and service plans.Manage beverage operations, including wine service, inventory, and purchasing.Develop and manage departmental budgets while controlling labor and operating expenses.Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the Club, building strong relationships with members and staff.
What You'll Bring
Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in a private club, luxury hotel, or resort food and beverage operation.Demonstrated success leading high-volume dining and banquet operations.Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost controls.Experience hiring, developing, and mentoring service teams.Knowledge of wine service and beverage program management.Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.A polished, approachable leadership style with a passion for member hospitality.College degree preferred. Relevant hospitality or club industry certifications are valued.
