Bent Creek Country Club is a member-owned, full-service, family-focused private club located in the suburbs of Lancaster County. Known for its understated elegance and welcoming culture, Bent Creek offers a premier golf and lifestyle experience to its membership.
The Club’s 18-hole championship golf course was originally designed by acclaimed architect Jay Morrish, Golf Course Architect of the Year in 1991, and is the only Northeastern course he designed. In 2025, the course was thoughtfully reimagined by Andrew Green, further elevating playability and conditioning. Beyond golf, the Club features year-round racquets and fitness amenities, a refreshed pool complex, diverse dining venues ranging from the Tavern at the Turn to elegant indoor and terrace settings, and versatile private event spaces. Over $15 million in recent capital enhancements underscore the Club’s commitment to excellence.
Position Overview
The Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and daily operation of all clubhouse activities, with a primary emphasis on food and beverage operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role serves as the senior clubhouse leader and is accountable for delivering a consistent, high-quality member experience across all a la carte dining, banquet, and social functions. The position requires a highly visible presence and a commitment to excellence in service, operations, and member engagement.
The Clubhouse Manager oversees both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring alignment between service execution and culinary excellence. This role reinforces the strategic and operational oversight necessary to lead a dynamic, service-driven clubhouse environment, balancing day-to-day execution with long-term planning. The ideal candidate brings strong operational expertise, financial acumen, and leadership experience, with the ability to be both hands-on and strategic in approach.

Experience and Qualifications
5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage operations within a private, member-owned club or comparable premier hospitality environmentDemonstrated expertise in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including managing multiple dining outlets, banquet operations, and member-facing service teamsProven ability to lead, mentor, and develop department heads and staff while fostering a positive, service-focused cultureStrong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, labor management, and revenue generationExperience developing and promoting dining programs, club events, and member engagement initiatives, along with implementing service standards and training programsHighly visible, approachable leader with excellent communication, interpersonal, and professional presenceStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on executionUnderstanding of private club operations and member expectations preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale systemsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays·
Essential Responsibilities
Clubhouse and Food & Beverage Leadership
Provide overall leadership and direction for all food and beverage operations, including a la carte dining, banquets, club events, and bar operations. Directly manage and support the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Maintain a consistent and visible presence throughout the clubhouse, especially during peak dining periods and member events. Establish, implement, and uphold service standards that reflect Bent Creek’s commitment to quality and consistency. Ensure all clubhouse areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
Leadership and Team Development
Work with leadership to recruit, hire, train, and develop a strong team across F&B Department.Create a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to department leaders and staff. Conduct regular team meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment. Promote a positive, professional work environment that supports employee retention and growth.
Member Experience & Club Culture
Foster a welcoming and engaging environment where members feel valued and recognized. Build strong relationships with the membership through regular interaction and visibility.Respond to member feedback with professionalism, urgency, and thoughtful solutions.Support and enhance club programming, events, and social activities to drive member engagement.Balance a “can-do” service approach with sound judgment and adherence to club standards.
Operations & Execution
Oversee daily clubhouse operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and a high level of service execution. Ensure proper opening, closing, and operational procedures are consistently followed.Coordinate closely with other department heads to support a cohesive club experience. Lead execution of club events and private functions in partnership with the events team.Continuously evaluate operations and implement improvements that enhance both the member and staff experience.
Financial Management
Develop and manage annual budget for food and beverage operations.Partner with the General Manager and Club Accountant to monitor financial performance, including revenue, labor, and cost of goods. Implement and maintain effective controls related to purchasing, inventory, and payroll.Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities and drive performance.
Governance & Strategic Involvement
Partner with the General Manager in support of Board and committee initiatives, including the House Committee.Assist in long-range planning and clubhouse-related capital projects.Evaluate organizational structure and staffing models; make recommendations as appropriate.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and club policies.
