Located 11 miles from downtown Boston in Weston Massachusetts, Pine Brook Country Club enjoys a reputation as one of the finest private clubs in Massachusetts. Pine Brook offers a challenging, beautifully maintained 18-hole golf course. The Horticulturist is an integral part of the Pine Brook team, ensuring the landscaping is maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, dependable, team player.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with landscape maintenance, restoration, and designInstall and cultivate functional and ornamental plantsTransplant and prune shrubs and small treesWeed landscape beds and assist with mulchingIdentify and treat potential pests or diseasesProvide plant care advice to other staff membersOther landscape maintenance as directed by the SuperintendentQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in horticulture or a related field (or associate degree and equivalent experience)Certification through the ASHS a plusExperience in landscaping or working with various types of plants (3-5 years preferred)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationComfortable working outside in various weather conditionsRequired Skills:

Ability to perform heavy physical work; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 15 pounds constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting.Required Work Habits:

Regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.Working Conditions:
