About the Role Our client, a premier golf facility located in the heart of New York City, New York , is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Golf Professional and Academy Director. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all golf operations, from daily play and member services to the strategic development and execution of our renowned golf academy. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive golf academy curriculum for all skill levels, from beginners to elite players. Conduct individual and group golf lessons, clinics, and workshops, leveraging modern teaching techniques and technology. Manage and mentor the team of golf instructors, ensuring quality instruction and professional development. Oversee daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, player flow, and course condition communication. Manage inventory, merchandising, and sales within the golf shop, striving to meet and exceed sales targets. Organize and execute golf events, tournaments, and member-guest activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with members, providing personalized service and engagement opportunities. Implement and enforce club policies and procedures to ensure a high-quality guest and member experience. Collaborate with the greenskeeping staff to ensure optimal course conditions are maintained. Assist in budget management and financial reporting for the golf operations department. Requirements PGA or LPGA Class A professional certification is mandatory. Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf instruction and/or golf operations management. Proven experience in developing and managing a successful golf academy program. Demonstrated ability to teach and coach golfers of all ages and skill levels effectively. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service orientation and a passion for creating positive experiences. Proficiency in golf analysis technology (e.g., TrackMan, V1 Swing Analysis). Experience with golf operations software (e.g., Jonas, Clubessential) is preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
