Job Overview Candyroot Lodge is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Greenskeeper to join our growing team. Position Overview As a Greenskeeper at Candyroot Lodge, you will play a key role in maintaining elite playing conditions across all areas of the golf course. This position works to deliver a high-quality daily experience for all golfers. Duties • Maintain turfgrass to championship-level standards using hand and power mowing equipment • Assist with sod installation, grow-in efforts, and course detailing as needed • Rake and maintain bunkers to ensure consistent playability and presentation • Operate and maintain golf course equipment safely and efficiently • Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with agronomic programs and safety • protocols • Set up the golf course daily, including changing cups and preparing for play • Monitor course conditions and report any safety concerns or maintenance needs promptly • Perform trimming and detailed landscape work around trees, native areas, and course features • Assist with cultural practices including aeration, topdressing, seeding, and fertilization • Work collaboratively with the team to execute daily tasks and long-term course goals • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management Skills • Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping • Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions with energy and enthusiasm • Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality work standards • Good communication skills and ability to work as a team Experience • Prior experience as a greenskeeper is preferred but not required. Candyroot Lodge is willing to train motivated and detail oriented employees.
