JOB TITLE: Banquet Supervisor

Job Summary The Banquet Supervisor at Belle Meade Country Club plays a key role in delivering exceptional member experiences through the successful execution of banquets and private events. This position supports the Banquet Manager by overseeing event operations, leading banquet staff, and ensuring each event reflects the club’s high standards of service, hospitality, and teamwork.

Essential Functions & Job DutiesMember Experience & Service
Deliver exceptional hospitality by providing attentive, personalized service to members and their guests.
Build strong relationships with members and anticipate needs to ensure every event exceeds expectations.
Respond promptly and professionally to member requests or concerns.
Team Leadership & Culture
Recruit, train, and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and temporary staff.
Lead by example in demonstrating Service, Teamwork, and Respect in all interactions.
Conduct pre-event briefings (lineups) to communicate event details, expectations, and service standards.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages accountability, collaboration, and pride in delivering outstanding service.
Assist with scheduling banquet and temporary staff.
Event Logistics & Operations
Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
Coordinate with culinary, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
Monitor and manage banquet inventory including linens, tableware, and event equipment.
Organization & Initiative
Manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Demonstrate initiative in anticipating event needs and proactively resolving operational challenges.
Quality & Attention to Detail
Ensure event spaces, service standards, and presentation reflect the club’s commitment to excellence.
Monitor service flow, food presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout events.
Compliance & Professional Standards
Ensure all events comply with club policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain professionalism and uphold the standards expected in a private club environment.
Problem Solving & Adaptability
Address and resolve challenges during events quickly and professionally.
Remain flexible and solution-oriented when event plans change or unexpected situations arise.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous banquet or event service experience, preferably in a country club or upscale hospitality setting
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Commitment to delivering exceptional service and contributing to a positive team culture
