DINING ROOM SUPERVISOR
Department: Service
Reports To: Food & Beverage Director / Service Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Dining Room Supervisor assists in the daily operation of Belle Meade Country Club's dining venues while serving as a visible leader on the floor. This position supports service staff, ensures Club standards are maintained, and helps deliver exceptional experiences to members and guests. Working closely with management, culinary staff, and Reservations, the Dining Room Supervisor plays a key role in service execution, staff accountability, and member satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Floor Leadership & Operations
Serve as the primary point of contact for service staff during assigned shifts.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Monitor service throughout meal periods and provide real-time direction and support.
Ensure dining rooms, service stations, and member areas remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready.
Support communication between the dining room, kitchen, and Reservations team.
Assist with monitoring supplies and inventory counts as assigned.
Staff Supervision & Development
Provide leadership and support to servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, and support staff.
Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
Reinforce Club standards, service procedures, and hospitality expectations.
Conduct pre-shift meetings as assigned.
Monitor employee performance and communicate coaching opportunities to management.
Ensure staff maintain proper appearance, professionalism, and uniform standards.
Member Experience
Greet members and guests and ensure attentive, personalized service.
Anticipate member needs and proactively address service opportunities.
Assist in resolving member concerns promptly and professionally.
Follow up on service recovery situations to ensure satisfaction.
Build positive relationships with members through consistent hospitality and engagement.
Quality, Compliance & Communication
Monitor food, beverage, and service standards for consistency and quality.
Ensure side work and service responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently.
Promote adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, service issues, inventory concerns, and member feedback.
Maintain a calm, positive, and solution-oriented approach during busy service periods.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience as a server, lead server, supervisor, or front-of-house leader preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and hospitality standards preferred.
Proficiency with POS systems and basic office software.
Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
