Position Summary
The PM Banquet Kitchen Supervisor is a hands-on culinary leader responsible for overseeing evening food production and banquet execution at Edgewood Country Club. This position works alongside the culinary team in the kitchen, preparing, cooking, plating, and expediting food while supervising banquet culinary staff during service.
The PM Banquet Kitchen Supervisor serves as the lead culinary team member during evening banquet operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, presentation, sanitation, and efficient execution of all banquet menus. This role is ideal for an experienced cook seeking a leadership opportunity while remaining actively involved in day-to-day kitchen operations.
This position is accountable for ensuring the banquet kitchen is left in a clean, organized, fully stocked, and operationally ready condition for the following day's culinary team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Culinary Production & Execution
Actively participate in food preparation, cooking, plating, and service for banquet events.
Execute banquet menus according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Lead banquet culinary staff during service while working alongside the team.
Monitor food quality, consistency, temperature, and portion control.
Coordinate production timing to ensure meals are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Assist with banquet prep, station setup, and service execution.
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each shift.
Ensure banquet food is prepared and presented in a manner consistent with the standards and expectations of Edgewood Country Club.
Team Leadership
Supervise banquet cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashing staff during evening operations.
Assign daily tasks and ensure completion of prep and production responsibilities.
Train and mentor culinary team members on club standards, cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
Lead by example through professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and strong work ethic.
Assist culinary leadership in maintaining a positive and productive kitchen culture.
Promote effective communication and teamwork among all culinary staff.
Food Safety & Sanitation
Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
Monitor proper food storage, labeling, dating, and rotation procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment and enforce kitchen safety practices.
Ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are properly cleaned and maintained.
Verify that all cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures are completed according to club standards.
Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, walk-ins, storage rooms, and workstations are cleaned, organized, and secured at the conclusion of each shift.
Operational Support
Assist with banquet prep planning and production schedules.
Communicate product needs, inventory concerns, and equipment issues to culinary leadership.
Minimize waste through proper production and utilization practices.
Support club-wide culinary operations as business needs require.
Ensure the banquet kitchen is properly closed and returned to established operating standards each evening.
Verify that prep lists, product organization, equipment readiness, and overall kitchen conditions are in place to support a successful start-up for the next day's operations.
Ensure products are properly stored, labeled, rotated, and accessible for the morning culinary team.
Communicate any outstanding production needs, maintenance concerns, or operational issues to culinary leadership before the end of the shift.
Communication & Collaboration
Work closely with banquet management and culinary leadership to ensure successful event execution.
Communicate menu changes, production concerns, staffing needs, and operational issues promptly.
Foster a collaborative relationship with all culinary departments to support club-wide events and member experiences.
Maintain professional and positive relationships with fellow managers, employees, members, and guests.
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of culinary experience in banquet, catering, hotel, restaurant, or private club operations.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
