Head Golf Professional

Kern River Golf Course is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Head Golf Professional to lead all golf operations and deliver an exceptional experience for our guests. Position Summary The Head Golf Professional oversees all aspects of golf operations, including golf shop management, tournament administration, instructional programs, merchandising, staff leadership, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong business sense and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Manage all daily golf operations and ensure a first-class customer experience. Lead, train, schedule, and supervise golf shop and outside services staff. Organize and execute tournaments, leagues, clinics, and special golf events. Provide private and group golf instruction for players of all skill levels. Develop junior golf and player development programs to increase participation. Manage golf shop merchandising, inventory, purchasing, and visual displays. Collaborate with the golf course superintendent to coordinate course conditions and event preparation. Ensure compliance with club policies, the Rules of Golf, pace of play, and customer service standards. Qualifications Class A membership in the PGA/LPGA of America preferred (or actively pursuing PGA/LPGA membership). 3-5+ years of golf operations experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with tournament software, tee sheet management, POS systems, and golf shop operations. Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Knowledge of merchandising, inventory control, and retail sales. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
