Our client is seeking an experienced and charismatic Head Golf Professional to lead operations at their premier golf facility in Des Moines . This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of the golf program, from daily operations to strategic planning, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests. You will be instrumental in fostering a vibrant golf community, driving revenue through merchandise and services, and upholding the club's reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily golf operations, including tee time management, cart fleet, and course conditions reporting. Manage the pro shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales, ensuring a diverse and appealing product selection. Develop and implement a comprehensive golf instruction program for players of all skill levels, including individual lessons and group clinics. Organize and execute club tournaments, social events, and league play to enhance member engagement and attract new participants. Recruit, train, and supervise golf operations staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Maintain strong relationships with members, providing personalized service and addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Requirements PGA or LPGA certification is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in golf operations management. Proven track record in golf instruction, player development, and tournament organization. Demonstrated expertise in retail management, visual merchandising, and inventory control for a pro shop. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management for a golf operation.
