Duties
Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas by cleaning workstations, sinks, floors, and storage areas regularly.
Assist with food prep tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients under supervision to support kitchen operations.
Support food safety standards by properly handling food items and adhering to sanitation protocols at all times.
Busing tables and clearing plates during service to ensure a smooth flow in the dining area.
Operate kitchen equipment safely including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances following safety guidelines.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or large containers while following manual handling safety procedures.
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards within a commercial kitchen setting.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items when necessary.
Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous.
