Facilities Manager – Pine Lake Country Club | Charlotte, NC
Pine Lake Country Club, one of Charlotte's premier private clubs, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and long-term care of our clubhouse, grounds, and club facilities. This leadership role is ideal for a motivated professional who takes pride in maintaining first-class amenities, managing preventative maintenance programs, leading vendor relationships, and ensuring our members and guests enjoy an exceptional club experience every day.

Supervises: Maintenance Technicians, Custodial Staff, Seasonal Maintenance Personnel, Outside Contractors and Vendors
Classification: Exempt (Full-Timed, Salary)

Position Summary
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance, operation, repair, safety, and overall appearance of all Pine Lake Country Club facilities. This position ensures that all buildings, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained in a matter that reflects the high standards expected by the membership.
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager oversees preventative maintenance programs, manages maintenance personnel, coordinates contractors, develops annual operating and capital budgets, and works closely with department heads to ensure all club facilities remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
This position serves as the club's primary facilities professional and plays a key role in long-range capital planning and project management.
Essential Functions
Building & Facility Maintenance
Maintain all clubhouse facilities, including banquet spaces, administrative offices, locker rooms, fitness areas, golf shop, kitchens, and storage facilities. Oversee maintenance of pool facilities, tennis and pickleball courts, golf operation buildings, cart bar, maintenance buildings, and parking lots.Ensure proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire suppression, and security.Respond to emergency maintenance situations. Perform routine inspections and document findings.Preventative Maintenance
Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.Establish maintenance schedules for:HVAC SystemsKitchen EquipmentPool SystemsWater HeatersRefrigeration equipment Lighting SystemsMaintain detailed service recordsCapital Projects
Assist the General Manager and Board in capital planning.Prepare project specifications and scopes of work.Solicit and evaluate contractor bids.Oversee construction on renovation projects.Monitor project budgets and timelines. Examples:

Prepare annual operating budgets for facilities.Develop capital replacement schedules.Monitor departmental expenses.Negotiate service contracts and vendor agreements.Maintain inventory controls for maintenance equipment.Safety & Compliance

Preferred:
Associate or bachelor's degree in:Facilities ManagementConstruction ManagementEngineeringBuilding OperationsRelated FieldEquivalent experience considered.
Experience
Required:
5+ years facilities management experience 3+ years supervisory experience Preferred:
Private club, hospitality, resort, university, healthcare, or commercial property experience.Technical Skills
