Assistant Equipment Manager

About the Position

Round Hill Club is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Assistant Equipment Technician to help maintain and service our specialized golf course equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems, and developing valuable mechanical skills in a hands-on environment. - AUTOMOTIVE GUYS LOOK HERE

You will work directly with the Equipment Manager to help keep our equipment operating safely, efficiently, and at the highest level of performance.

Responsibilities

Assist with the maintenance and repair of specialized golf course equipment. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and inspections. Assist with sharpening and grinding cutting units, reels, and bedknives to maintain exceptional turf quality. Follow established preventative maintenance schedules and service plans. Help diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on a variety of equipment. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional equipment shop. Learn proper service procedures, equipment setup, and troubleshooting techniques.

Our fleet includes a variety of modern John Deere equipment, along with Toro and Jacobsen machinery, providing valuable experience across multiple equipment platforms.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Interest in working with machinery, engines, and mechanical systems. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team. Previous experience with automotive, diesel, small-engine, or outdoor power equipment is a plus, but not required. Previous reel grinding or bedknife sharpening experience is beneficial, but we are willing to train the right person.
