TPC Prestancia is a premier private club located in Sarasota, Florida, offering 36 holes of championship golf, exceptional dining, and a welcoming club experience within one of the area’s most established golf communities. As part of Heritage Golf Group, TPC Prestancia is committed to delivering outstanding service, elevated amenities, and meaningful experiences for Members and their guests.
TPC Prestancia is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar club expansion and renovation, including the addition of a new stand-alone fitness and wellness center, racquet sports amenities featuring tennis, pickleball, and padel, as well as enhanced pool and aquatics facilities. These exciting new amenities will continue opening in phases through May 2027, creating a unique opportunity to support membership growth during a transformational period for the Club.
Position Summary
The Membership Director serves as a primary ambassador of TPC Prestancia and is responsible for driving membership growth, retention, and overall Member engagement. This individual leads all aspects of the membership sales process while building strong relationships within the Club and throughout the Sarasota community.
TPC Prestancia operates within a collaborative team sales environment, and this role works closely alongside another Membership Director to support Club goals and deliver a seamless prospective Member experience. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, team-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional experiences for both prospective and current Members.
This role requires a proactive sales mindset, strong networking abilities, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering a high level of hospitality and service.
Compensation: Base Salary + Commission; Total Compensation Estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 Annually.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Sales & Strategy
Drive new membership sales and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goalsManage the full membership sales cycle including prospecting, tours, follow-up, closing, and onboardingDevelop and execute strategic membership sales and outreach plansMaintain an active pipeline and track performance through CRM toolsIdentify opportunities to enhance membership offerings and overall Club valueCollaborate closely with fellow Membership Director and Club leadership to support a team-oriented sales environment and shared goalsNetworking & Community Engagement
Represent TPC Prestancia within the Sarasota community to generate leads and build brand awarenessDevelop relationships with local businesses, real estate professionals, and community organizationsLeverage current Member relationships to drive referrals and introductionsHost Club tours, prospective Member events, and open housesAttend networking and community events to support membership growth initiativesMember Experience & Retention
Ensure a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience for all new MembersBuild strong relationships with Members to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and retentionPartner with Club leadership to support programming and events that create value for MembersServe as a key point of contact for membership-related questions and requestsMarketing & Collaboration
Collaborate with Marketing and Club leadership on campaigns, promotions, and events that support membership growthAssist with membership communications, collateral, and digital presenceWork closely with Golf, Food & Beverage, and Private Events teams to maximize exposure and lead generation opportunitiesReporting & Administration
Maintain accurate membership records, contracts, and reportingUtilize CRM systems to track sales activity, pipeline progress, and conversion metricsSupport membership billing coordination and documentation processesPrepare regular membership and sales reports for Club leadership
Qualifications
3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals; private club, hospitality, luxury service, or real estate sales experience preferredStrong networking ability and comfort working in a relationship-driven environmentTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in a shared sales environmentFundamental knowledge of the Sarasota market and local real estate trends preferredHighly motivated, outgoing, and confident engaging with Members and prospective MembersExperience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office required; Jonas, Northstar, or club management software experience is a plusExcellent communication, organization, and follow-through skillsPassion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional Member experienceAbility to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and Club events as neededBachelor’s degree preferred
