Position Summary
The Membership Director serves as the primary ambassador of Grande Dunes Members Club and is responsible for driving membership growth, retention, and overall engagement. This individual leads all aspects of the membership sales lifecycle while cultivating strong relationships within the Club and the surrounding community. The ideal candidate is outgoing, relationship-driven, and passionate about delivering a best-in-class Member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Sales & Strategy
• Drive new membership sales and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
• Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, tours, follow-up, closing, and onboarding
• Develop and execute strategic membership sales and marketing plans
• Maintain an active pipeline and track performance through CRM tools
Networking & Community Engagement
• Represent the Club within the Myrtle Beach community to generate leads and build brand awareness
• Establish relationships with local businesses, real estate professionals, and community organizations
• Leverage current Member relationships to drive referrals and guest introductions
• Host club tours, prospective Member events, and open houses
Member Experience & Retention
• Ensure a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience for all new Members
• Build strong, ongoing relationships with Members to enhance satisfaction and retention
• Partner with Club leadership to support programming that drives engagement and value
• Act as a key point of contact for Member inquiries related to membership
Marketing & Collaboration
• Collaborate with Marketing and Club leadership to develop campaigns, promotions, and events that support membership growth
• Assist with membership communications, collateral, and digital presence
• Align closely with Private Events and Golf operations to maximize exposure and lead generation
Reporting & Administration
• Maintain accurate membership records, contracts, and reporting
• Utilize CRM systems to track pipeline activity, sales performance, and conversion metrics
• Support billing coordination and membership documentation processes
Qualifications
• 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals (private club, hospitality, or real estate sales preferred)
• Strong networking ability and presence in a relationship-driven sales environment
• Highly motivated, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with a high-end clientele
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office; Jonas/Encore experience is a plus
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills
• Passion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional Member experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
