Equipment Manager — El Niguel Country Club
El Niguel Country Club is seeking a highly qualified Equipment Manager to lead our equipment maintenance operations. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the club’s equipment fleet. Key responsibilities include executing repairs and maintenance, managing detailed service records (including parts and labor), and placing orders for necessary parts and supplies.
The Equipment Manager reports to the Director of Agronomy and is expected to communicate equipment needs or issues promptly and effectively. This position also schedules, directs, trains, and oversees the work of all equipment technicians. A strong commitment to safety is essential, as the Equipment Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized service area and maintenance facility.
A key component of this role will include assisting with the renovation and organization of the club’s new maintenance facility once on board.
Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of one (1) year formal education in golf course equipment maintenanceMinimum of five (5) years’ experience as a golf course mechanicStrong knowledge of tools, materials, and methods used in golf course and landscape maintenanceWorking knowledge of the safe operation of all motorized golf course equipmentAdvanced skills in reel grinding and cutting unit setupExcellent organizational and time-management skillsFluency in English; Spanish fluency a plusAbility to follow detailed written or verbal instructions independentlyValid driver’s licenseExpertise with light and heavy maintenance equipmentStrong mechanical repair skills and familiarity with a wide range of equipment repair toolsSolid understanding of internal combustion engines and mowing equipmentExcellent communication skills and ability to maintain positive working relationshipsDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactiveKnowledge of efficient maintenance practices and California regulations
Salary: USD 60000 - 80000 per year
