About the Role
La Rinconada Country Club is undergoing something significant.
From the outside, you'll see a $22 million full golf course renovation. You'll read about the architect who designed it and the contractor building it. What you won't see is the work happening behind the scenes.
Our Grounds Maintenance department is being rebuilt from the inside out. We're redefining our standards, investing in our key contributors, and creating a culture built on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. At the same time, we're constructing a new Grounds Maintenance facility scheduled for completion this winter. This isn't simply a new shop; it's an opportunity to help establish how that facility will operate for years to come. From organization and workflow to preventative maintenance systems and daily operations, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of the department. That work isn't easy, and it doesn't happen overnight.
We're looking for an Equipment Manager who can make an impact.
Whether you're an established Equipment Manager or an Assistant Equipment Manager ready for your first opportunity to lead a shop, we're committed to helping the right person grow. We can help you develop systems, build preventative maintenance programs, refine shop operations, and become a stronger leader. What we can't teach overnight we will work together as a team to find solutions, communication is key.
We're looking for someone who enjoys improving processes, embraces new technology, and isn't afraid to challenge the way things have always been done. As our operation evolves, including a growing fleet of electric equipment and significant equipment upgrades over the next two years, we want someone excited to help shape what comes next.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than another mechanic position. It's an opportunity to become a cornerstone of a championship golf course operation and establish yourself as a respected Equipment Manager in the Bay Area.
If you're driven by ownership, accountability, professionalism, and the satisfaction of building something that lasts, we'd like to hear from you.
Core Responsibilities
The expectations below are familiar to experienced Equipment Managers. Success in this role doesn’t mean how well you have executed them in the past but how well you will learn, adapt and execute in the future.
Inspect, diagnose, prioritize, repair, and service golf course equipment. Organize and maintain an efficient, professional shop and equipment yard. Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs. Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely. Promote and enforce safe operating practices throughout the department. Manage equipment while supporting and communicating effectively with staff. Perform field repairs and routinely inspect equipment during operation. Participate in daily planning meetings and collaborate with the management team. Oversee the fuel station, fuel cabinet, and fuel inventory. Support and maintain our expanding fleet of electric equipment. Help guide the transition as we modernize and upgrade our mower fleet over the next two years. We're not simply filling a vacancy. We're investing in someone who wants to help build the future of La Rinconada Country Club.
