Duties
Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems to keep the course in top condition
Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and planting to enhance course aesthetics
Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues with sprinklers or timers
Maintain golf course turf health through pest management, fertilization, and soil conditioning while adhering to pesticide safety protocols
Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of equipment or materials and use hand tools for detailed landscaping work
Operate company vehicles safely for transportation of equipment or materials around the course premises
Requirements
Prior experience in golf course groundskeeping, athletic field maintenance, or landscaping is highly preferred
Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is essential
Ability to operate power tools safely and perform routine equipment maintenance
Familiarity with pesticide management and lawn care best practices
Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently
Valid driver’s license with experience operating grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment including chainsaws and power tools
Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to grounds upkeep and safety standards
