Responsibilities
Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, chainsaws, power tools, irrigation systems, and other landscaping machinery safely and efficiently.
Maintain turf health through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote lush, healthy playing surfaces.
Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot any issues with sprinklers or controllers.
Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, and installing new landscaping features.
Conduct regular inspections of the course grounds to identify areas needing repair or attention; perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or materials as needed.
Apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to control pests and weeds that could affect turf quality.
Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs, and reporting larger maintenance needs to ensure operational safety and longevity.
Qualifications
Prior experience with golf course groundskeeping or athletic field maintenance is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance practices, and pesticide management techniques.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ground maintenance equipment safely with a focus on power tool safety standards.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Familiarity with company vehicle operation and adherence to safety protocols during equipment use.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks.
Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
