Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all golf course equipment, including mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, and irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical faults accurately.
• Repair or replace faulty parts promptly to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
• Conduct safety checks on machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards and reduce risk of accidents.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for special events or tournaments as needed.
• Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to coordinate equipment use and ensure optimal course conditions.
Experience
• Proven experience working as a mechanic, preferably with outdoor power equipment or similar machinery.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and engine mechanics.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance guides effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs and maintenance.
• Prior experience working outdoors or in a golf course environment is a plus but not required.
• Certification or training in mechanical repair is preferred; familiarity with electrical diagnostics is highly valued.
