About the Role
## Key Role Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Attendant is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall cleanliness of a golf club's facilities to ensure functionality, safety, and a high-quality appearance for members and guests. This role performs routine maintenance and repairs across indoor and outdoor spaces, maintains preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinates with supervisors and other departments to address facility-related issues promptly.
## What are the Key Responsibilities?
- Maintain carpets and floors by vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and polishing all required areas, including courts, exercise rooms, stairwells, lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Dust and wipe down furniture, shelves, chair arms, desks, credenzas, chandeliers, pictures, televisions, woodwork, artwork, and HVAC registers.
- Complete daily assignments to meet club standards, including organizing entry areas and picking up trash/debris.
- Perform or coordinate facility maintenance and repairs such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building equipment, carpentry, flooring, walls, ceilings, and special projects.
- Maintain a maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive maintenance and ongoing improvements.
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize, document, and complete work requests from department heads, members, and guests.
- Assist other employees and take on additional tasks as assigned by management due to the dynamic nature of the club.
- Follow company, club, and department policies and safe working practices; attend daily briefings and engage in required activities.
## What are the Required Qualifications?
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in general facility, property maintenance, or a golf club environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as frequent sitting, standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
## What are the Preferred Qualifications?
- Experience performing minor repairs, painting, plumbing, or other related maintenance tasks.
- Previous training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA regulations, electrical codes, and other compliance-related facility maintenance requirements.
