Position Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is crucial for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of our club facilities, inside and out. You will carry out routine cleaning tasks, address cleanliness concerns, and assist with maintenance in restrooms, locker rooms, dining areas, and other common spaces.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
• Keep carpets clean through vacuuming and spot cleaning. Ensure all floors are swept, mopped, and polished in various areas including courts and exercise rooms.
• Dust and wipe down all furniture, shelves, and other surfaces.
• Follow daily assignments to maintain club standards for cleanliness.
• Perform various maintenance repairs and upkeep, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and carpentry.
• Maintain a checklist for preventive maintenance and project tracking.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coordinate work requests.
Additional Duties
• Prepare to assist other team members and take on additional tasks as needed.
• Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Engage professionally with members and colleagues.
• Follow safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment.
• Participate in professional development and maintain relevant certifications.
• Tackle challenges proactively using available resources.
• Attend daily briefings to stay updated and contribute to team success.
Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or janitorial services, preferably in a golf club context.
Preferred:
• Understanding of cleaning protocols and sanitation best practices.
• Knowledge of various cleaning techniques.
• Training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is advantageous.
• Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance in facility maintenance.
Physical Requirements
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
• Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, or gases.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs when necessary.
• Good communication and sensory skills.

• Adhere to the weekly attendance schedule.
