About the Role
Innis Arden Golf Club is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Handyman to assist in the upkeep, repair, and daily maintenance of the Club’s facilities and grounds. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards expected by our members and guests throughout the year.
The Maintenance Handyman is responsible for supporting the operation and appearance of the Clubhouse, Pool House, employee housing, paddle facilities, golf operation buildings, and other Club-owned properties. Working closely with the Facilities Manager and Club Management team, this individual will ensure that all facilities remain safe, functional, clean, and well-maintained while providing prompt response to maintenance requests and operational needs.
Summary of essential job functions & tasks at the Clubhouse and Club owned Properties:
General Facilities Maintenance
Perform routine inspections of Club facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks and repairs to maintain Club standards.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Club departments and management.
Assist with seasonal facility preparations, including opening and closing procedures.
Maintain storage areas, workshops, and maintenance equipment in a clean and organized manner.
Support Club events by assisting with room setups, furniture movement, and special projects.
Building Repairs & Improvements
Perform light carpentry including repair and replacement of doors, trim, hardware, locks, hinges, decking, fencing, and other wooden structures.
Complete interior and exterior painting projects as needed.
Repair drywall, patch walls, and perform general cosmetic improvements.
Install and repair fixtures, shelving, signage, and other building components.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of building equipment and systems.
Plumbing & Mechanical Support
Perform basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, flush valves, and drains.
Assist with troubleshooting and coordinating repairs for mechanical systems.
Monitor and report any issues with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building systems to the Facilities Manager.
Ensure all maintenance equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Pool & Aquatics Facility Maintenance
Monitor and maintain pool water quality in accordance with local health regulations and Club standards.
Operate and maintain the automated chlorination and chemical feed systems.
Perform regular testing and documentation of pool chemical levels.
Backwash filters and maintain filtration systems on an established schedule.
Inspect and maintain pool pumps, vacuums, skimmers, and related equipment.
Support the Aquatics Department by ensuring the Pool House and surrounding facilities remain clean, safe, and operational throughout the season.
Communicate maintenance concerns and facility issues promptly to Club Management.
Grounds & Seasonal Responsibilities
Assist with snow removal, salting, and ice management during winter months.
Support outdoor maintenance projects throughout the Club property.
Assist with seasonal furniture setup, storage, and movement.
Maintain walkways, entrances, patios, and common areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members and guests.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
Position requires spending a majority of each shift on your feet and performing physical labor.
Qualifications
Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or handyman experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
Pool maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
