At the North Jersey Country Club, Member experience is our top priority. Servers play an important role in delivering attentive, personalized service in our dining areas while upholding the highest standards of hospitality for our Members and guests. In addition to regular a la carte restaurant service, Servers will have opportunities to work banquets and events as well throughout the year. Servers report to the Food & Beverage Director and the Dining Room Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service to Members and guests.
Maintain knowledge of specials, specialty drinks, menu offerings, and alcoholic beverages.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, entering them into our point-of-sale system (POS).
Anticipate Member and guest needs, providing exceptional hospitality throughout the dining experience.
Communicate effectively with the culinary team and front-of-house team members to ensure a seamless service.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of dining rooms and special events.
Schedule
Shifts are generally from 10 am to 4 pm, or 4 pm until close Tuesdays through Sundays.
Availability on Mondays is occasionally required for golf outings.
Due to the nature of our operations, holidays are mandatory.
Qualifications
Previous serving experience in a fine dining restaurant or private club preferred.
Knowledge of coursing meals, and "firing" appropriately is preferred.
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS ; familiarity with Club Essentials is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
A strong commitment to hospitality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Possesses a positive attitude, is reliable, and punctual.
Work Environment
This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. Work is performed primarily indoors.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
