Landscape Gardener

Position Overview Join our grounds and facilities team as a part-time or full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker. We offer a part-time schedule of three days per week and a full-time option of five days per week; full-time employees will spend two days assigned to the Greens Department. This position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on individual who enjoys working outdoors, has an interest in horticulture, and wants to contribute to a well-maintained, welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Perform regular watering, fertilizing, mulching, and weeding to maintain healthy plantings Prune and trim trees, shrubs, hedges, and ornamental plants to preserve form and health Carry out turf care tasks including mowing, aeration, overseeding, and basic pest control practices Safely operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment; report mechanical issues promptly Inspect and manage components of irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water usage Maintain cleanliness of walkways, parking areas, and landscape edges by removing debris and addressing hazards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Hands‑on experience in landscaping, horticulture, groundskeeping, or similar work environments Knowledge of plant care practices, soil management, and basic landscape maintenance techniques Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and able to perform physical labor Demonstrated reliability and ability to follow safety procedures Top Skills Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship Strong organizational abilities to balance routine tasks and special projects Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors and colleagues Dependable attendance and the ability to follow a structured schedule Adaptability to changing tasks and seasonal priorities Requirements Licenses or certifications related to landscape equipment or pesticide use are beneficial but not required; training opportunities available Closing Statement We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
