Fort Mitchell Country Club is accepting applications for seasonal employment in the Golf Course Maintenance Department. These positions work under the Golf Course Maintenance Management Team. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, filling divots, bunker raking, line trimming, mowing, and general grounds maintenance on the golf course and around the clubhouse. Employment season typically runs thru Late Fall.
Pay range is between $19-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
General knowledge of the game of golf and landscaping is preferred, but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to maintain pristine grounds.
Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and ongoing management to ensure optimal watering efficiency.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for planting, digging, and general landscape improvements.
Conduct gardening activities such as planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and maintaining garden beds for seasonal beauty.
Support lawn care routines by aerating, fertilizing, and applying pest control measures as needed.
Carry out landscaping projects that involve soil preparation, mulching, and installing features like pathways or borders.
Maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure safety standards are met and tools are always ready for use.
Qualifications
Prior experience or strong interest in irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred.
Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care techniques to promote healthy growth.
Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers safely.
Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing equipment operation and fertilization methods.
Strong work ethic with attention to detail in maintaining high standards of landscape appearance.
Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects is beneficial.
Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and maintenance.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
