About the Country Club of Virginia (CCV) The Country Club of Virginia (CCV), located in Richmond, VA, is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious private, member-owned clubs. Ranked the 7th Platinum Club of America, CCV spans two campuses: Westhampton and James River, offering 54 holes of golf, extensive dining, wellness, racquet, and aquatics facilities. Westhampton Campus features a historic 70,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, a 100,000 sq. ft. Fitness/Racquet Sports Complex, a four-acre resort-style Aquatics Complex, multiple racquet courts, youth activity areas, a spa, and five dining outlets. James River Campus , seven miles away, includes two championship golf courses, a Golf Performance Center, locker rooms, boat access to the James River, and a newly renovated 36,000 sq. ft. clubhouse reopening in Fall 2025. Hosts the Dominion Energy Charity Classic. CCV’s banquet operations generate over $4 million annually, with an average of 32 weddings and holiday events exceeding 1,000 covers. The Club serves 8,000+ members year-round. The Position The Director of Banquets is an integral member of the F&B Management team responsible for executing around 1,800 private and member events annually. The Director will collaborate with a Special Events Office Team, manage a team of 5 direct reports and approximately 33 FTE staff, delivering exceptional and memorable events. Participate in weekly meetings, training, and club-wide initiatives, taking on additional responsibilities to drive the club’s success. The Ideal Candidate Over five years of hospitality experience in a managerial role overseeing managers in an upscale banquet execution setting. Experience in private clubs preferred, but luxury hotels or resorts also welcome. Proven track record of building, training, and leading cohesive, service‑focused teams. Dining Outlets Ollie’s – upscale informal dining area, 70-110 seats, dinner Tue‑Sat. The Grill and Grill Terrace – casual full service dining, 125‑250 seats, dinner Tue‑Sun. The River – upscale casual, 225 seats, lunch & dinner Tue‑Sun. Cool Springs Café – fast‑casual, breakfast/lunch/dinner 7 days per week. Poolside Café – lunch & dinner seasonally, Memorial‑Day to Labor‑Day. Snack Bars (3) – counter service, breakfast/lunch/dinner Mon‑Sun (1) or Tue‑Sun (2). Private Parties/Member Events – two clubhouses with 12 event rooms, up to 600 seated, over 1,000 standing.
